SPECIAL INSPECTION OF FOOD CARGO AT CERTAIN BONDED WAREHOUSES IN SHENZHEN
Date Submitted: 2 giờ trước

Songwin International Logistics Vietnam would like to inform our valued Customers and Partners that certain bonded warehouses in Shenzhen, China are currently conducting a special inspection campaign for food-related cargo.

According to information from our partners in China, shipments such as tea, confectionery, and similar food products may be subject to customs inspection at both the warehouse receiving and cargo dispatch stages.

REQUIREMENT FOR CONSISTENCY OF CARGO INFORMATION

During the inspection process, particular attention should be paid to ensuring that the food labeling information displayed on the outer packaging is consistent with the customs declaration and relevant supporting documents.

Any discrepancies in the product name, ingredients, manufacturer information, or labeling details may result in requests for clarification, additional inspections, or delays in the cargo receiving and dispatch processes.

If the cargo is determined to be non-compliant with the applicable requirements, the shipment may be refused by the warehouse or required to be removed from the warehouse, potentially resulting in additional processing time and related costs.

DOCUMENTS TO BE PREPARED IN ADVANCE

To minimize potential risks and ensure readiness for inspection, businesses are advised to prepare the following documents and information in advance:

  • Manufacturer Filing Certificate
  • CIQ Code Screenshot
  • Product Composition / Ingredient Analysis Test Report
  • Electronic Ledger / E-record
  • Photos of the Actual Food Labels on the Packaging

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BUSINESSES

For food shipments planned to transit through Shenzhen, businesses are advised to review the cargo information and supporting documents before the goods are delivered to the warehouse, with particular attention to consistency among:

Cargo Labels → Commercial Documents → Product Documentation → Customs Declaration

Preparing complete documentation and verifying the consistency of all relevant information in advance can help businesses minimize the risk of additional inspections, delays in cargo handling, or warehouse-related issues.
